Job Roles & Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle 10g/11g/12c in single and cluster mode.
Good experience in Replication, Log shipping, Clustering & RAC
Execution of backup/recovery procedures & RMAN
Creation and Maintenance of Database Instances & Performance fine tuning
Verify that Server has enough resources for acceptable performance
Review contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources
Review fragmentation by investigating row chaining and other areas of fragmentation
Capture Performance Statistics using performance monitors
Define Backup policy and retention policy for complete/differential/transaction backup
Conduct backup, restoration drills for backup verification in different scenarios.
Hands on experience and excellent knowledge of DB administration, License Management, Version upgrades and migrations
Driving initiatives to improve SLAs by analysis and Responses
Responsible for driving all P1, P2, incidents, change requests and OEM/ vendor management for the tower
Responsible for Technology refresh in respective domain
